Meet Robert

Robert A. Havelka III

Attorney At Law

Robert Havelka, a Charlotte, North Carolina native, maintains a general practice, with a focus on bankruptcy, criminal defense, family, immigration, personal injury, and traffic law.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Development and Agroecology from Appalachian State University, and received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University. Robert served as a Judicial Research Fellow with the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts and clerked for the Hon. Kimberley Slayton White of the Virginia Court of Appeals prior to joining James, McElroy, & Diehl, P.A. as an associate.

Robert left James, McElroy & Diehl to start Havelka Law Firm and continues to serve his local and state communities.

Meet Emmanuel

Paralegal

Emmanuel Herrera brings more than sixteen years of experience in assisting individuals and families navigate the U.S. immigration system. His work spans across a broad range of immigration matters, including family based petitions, removal proceedings, consular processing, humanitarian protections (such as VAWA, U visas, waivers), and other complex immigration filings.

Emmanuel is credited for his careful attention to detail, strong case organization, and thoughtful approach to client communication. Fluent in Spanish, Emmanuel works directly with Spanish-speaking clients to ensure thy clearly understand each delicate step of their legal matter.

In his free time, he enjoys exploring Charlotte’s food scene, and spending time with his senior chihuahua, Coco, who travels with him almost everywhere!
